There wasn't much snow this winter, which is normal, but the winter took its toll on the landscape. Downed trees and detritus litter the woods. It's a brown wasteland with log jams in the creek. The trails are mud, and the edges of the creek are caving in. The kudzu is piled in heaps, and the hedges are flat. But the weather is warming, and it's easier to get out and watch it as it comes back to life.
