The ready availability of online lens rentals makes it easy to explore new capabilities for your camera. The photos here were made with a circa 2006 Nikon D70s and two rental lenses, a Zeiss 50 mm f/1.4 and a Zeiss 50 mm f/2 macro lens. Matching the two full frame lenses with a crop sensor camera yielded images that I never would have imagined for the old camera. The first six images here were made with the macro lens on a short walk through the woods. The seventh image was made with the macro lens at a normal distance, and the last image was made with the 50 mm f/1.4 at wide open aperture. Images were made in the Fall of 2015.
Gear Photos were made with a Nikon D70s paired with either a Zeiss Makro-Planar T* 50mm f/2 or a Zeiss Milvus 50 mm f/1.4.
